Photo Guide
The first step to booking your portrait is choosing the right photo for me to work from. They must be clear and of good quality:
Lighting - This is one of the most important factors when photographing your pet. Images that are too dark or overexposed make it very difficult for me to draw all those little details. Photos taken in natural daylight are perfect, this allows me to see the true colours of your pet's fur.
Positioning - Being at your pet's level when you take the photo is important, so that they aren't looking upwards and making their heads look disproportionate to their bodies. Holding a treat next to your device will help your pet focus on the camera for the perfect pose! It can be tricky, but be patient with it as it will all be worth it!
Here are some examples of bad vs. good reference photos:

More than one pet in your portrait?
It can be hard to capture all of your pets in one picture. However, I can take separate pictures and combine them into one portrait. It will help if you can make sure each photo is taken from the same perspective and in the same lighting.
Please let me know if you are gifting your portrait to a loved one. It's important for me to know if you need me to complete it for a specific date. I will always check the availability of my waiting list to ensure I can work to fit your time frame.
